This session is designed exclusively for leaders of today’s largest IT integrators who are members of the SP 500. There is an old adage that the most important conversation is the one you’re not having. That is because difficult conversations are scary especially when the stakes are high and communication skills are put to the test. Everyone agrees effective communication is a key to business success. And yet, many business leaders tend to stop short when communicating, fail to give candid feedback, and avoid critical conversations. Avoid difficult conversations can lead to lower productivity, turnover, missed opportunities and even losing a competitive advantage.
In this 1.5-hour session, executive coach and Vistage Chairman Tom Cuthbert will teach SP 500 executives a proven process to preparing for and managing those difficult conversations. This model will be demonstrated and practiced together as a group. Leaders will leave with both a new confidence and determination to have the critical conversations to move their business and life forward.

Tom Cuthbert, Chairman, Vistage International, has been a Vistage chair in San Antonio since 2012. He has had extensive business experience including leading the turnaround team of a national restaurant chain, raising millions in venture capital and founding several companies. The most recent company, Adometry, was acquired by Google. Today Cuthbert chairs four Vistage groups made up of CEOs and business leaders from diverse industries in San Antonio. In 2014, he was recognized with the Vistage Chair Excellence Award. He serves on the board of directors for Christian Unity Ministries, Tech Bloc and the San Antonio Talent for Economic Competitiveness by mayoral appointment. His personal mission is to “Help business leaders see what they can’t, in order to achieve what they can”. Cuthbert was the founder and CEO of Adometry and has served as the chairman of the Click Quality Council and president of Optimal IQ which he co-founded.
