Human Resources Coordinator - The Channel Company

*This is a remote position but preference to be located in the Long Island area with the ability to be on-site at our Woodbury office if needed. *

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the People team in efforts to maintain a culture that is inclusive and allows everyone to bring their best selves to work
  • Provide day-to-day operation support to the People & Culture Team
  • Responds to and answers day-to-day questions from new hires and employee
  • Facilitates full employee life cycle from pre-onboarding to termination
  • Maintains and is responsible for onboarding – including background checks, first day logistics between new hires and internal teams and overseeing all aspects of our onboarding program
  • Manage all offboarding processes including return of equipment and confidential information and offboarding from relevant systems and programs as required
  • Input data into our HRIS system related to employee changes (new hires, promotions, terminations, etc.)
  • Assist the Recruiting team with the facilitation of the recruiting process, including managing our applicant tracking system, scheduling interviews, and providing general recruitment support
  • Generate reports from the HRIS as required for Management, Payroll and Finance
  • Manage and own the administration of Payroll within our payroll system
  • Manage the company leave management program with our 3rd party vendor
  • Assist with employee benefit inquiries and wellness programs
  • Manage logistics for our employee Culture and Wellness events and other employee events


  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or relevant field is required
  • 2+ years of HR dedicated experience
  • Experience working with payroll administration is a plus
  • Familiarity with Human Resources concepts, practices, programs, and methodologies
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter who is flexible and has the ability to respond to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are a must
  • HRIS and Payroll experience preferred
