We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Event Marketing Manager to support our events and online communities business. Our prominent national, regional and virtual events foster engagement across the technology industry of vendors, solution providers and end users. Our online communities are dedicated to helping members from across the IT Channel thrive both professionally and personally through carefully cultivated content and networking opportunities. This role would be responsible for creating and executing the marketing strategy to drive visibility, attendance, sponsorship and content engagement throughout the entire lifecycle of each event and in support of our online communities. The ideal candidate would have thorough knowledge and experience in event marketing, brand amplification, lead generation, audience recruitment and content extension strategies through a variety of marketing channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep working understanding of our events and communities strategy and establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders and external partners
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business goals and objectives into actionable, integrated and audience-specific marketing strategies that deliver engagement, leads, pipeline and revenue
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
  • Market through various channels and leverage data for targeted segmentation
  • Adapt messaging and approach to different targets (i.e. audience vs. sponsor)
  • Work with creative teams, other marketing team members, internal stakeholders, external agencies and vendors
  • Strategize, coordinate, and execute on all onsite event branding and marketing elements
  • Support and collaborate on content strategies and extensions
  • Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives, optimize for greatest performance, consistently communicate results and provide recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Attend virtual and live events to fully understand event experience and expectations from sponsor, speaker, attendee and employee perspective to continuously evolve marketing strategies and approach
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of marketing best practices and industry trends


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in B2B marketing experience, event marketing and/or IT industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field of study or commensurate combination of education and experience
  • Experience developing, executing and optimizing integrated marketing programs including digital, social media, search, email, advertising, events and content creation
  • Outstanding B2B writing and PowerPoint skills
  • Deep knowledge of the marketing funnel, metrics and analytics to optimize campaigns
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation systems
  • Adept with digital and paid advertising strategies
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to work across all levels in an organization
  • Collaborative and thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to travel as necessary. This position requires travel several times a year to support live events.
